Enough said.
The reason the Tea Party (let’s call them Republicans, because that’s what they are) is running everything today, even though their voices are disproportionately smaller than the rest of us? Because they vote in every election.
If the electorate is like a choir, and all of us voters sing, we make a piece of music. And when we stop singing, either because we’re too busy or don’t like the tune or it’s all the same song anyway so why bother, we take our voices out of the mix. The song still keeps going on, only without our input, and the ones left singing? Some of them are real tuneless wonders.
Just think, if every progressive voted in 2010, would we be in the fix we’re in right now? Take Wisconsin: I think it’s great that Wisconsin is having recall elections, but they wouldn’t have needed them if everyone showed up a few months ago. If I’m wrong, then why do the Democrats have a good chance to win now?
We can’t ever let up, otherwise the bastards will end up leading us by the nose.
